Thracian sanctuary, Kovil village The sanctuary is located around white volcanic rocks (volcanic tuff) on the hill of a rocky ridge. On the accessible western side could be seen traces of a not soldered wall. In rocks on the slope are cut out many cult facilities like altars, grooves, a well preserved sharapana and niches. The found pottery is dated from Late Bronze Age and Early Iron Age. An amphora-like idol was found during the organized excavations in 1991 – 1993. Note: The sanctuary is interesting and easily accessible, suitable for tourism.
