Harman kaya, Bivolyiane village
Harman kaya, Bivolyiane village It is a hewn in the rock sanctuary that is located in a not too high plateau around 2km east of Dolna Chobanka village. It has formed around a small cave with depth of 7m. The earliest archeological materials are related to the late Neolithic age. In the rock next to the entrance of the cave are dug in trapezoid niches facing south. The entire area is rich in cut in the rocks facilities – premises, round and trapezoid niches, tombs, water catching basins, concentric circles resembling sun clocks, altars, pools, steps. Some suppose that part of the natural landscape structure of the place was used for astronomical observations of the Sun during its yearly cycles. Those observations were included in the ritual practices connected with the cult to the Sun. That sanctuary probably started to function simultaneously with the one near Tatul village. Note: The place is nice for tourism. There is a directing board.
