The big and the small kazan
The big and the small kazan In the “Kazan Beug” area near Vaz quarter of Raven village rises up a complex of interesting rock formations. They are 30m high and are situated on the left bank of the Kazan dere river. In the area can be found numerous hewn in the rocks facilities – passageways, altars, grooves, furrows, trapezoid niches, also a well preserved tomb with clear closing groove. The complex has a good visual connection with the sanctuary near Tatul village. No organized excavations have been made in the area. The river has formed two beautiful canyons that the local people call the Big and the Small Kazan (Kuchuk kazan and Beug kazan). The figure of a huge giant resembling a man on guard stands out on the way to the rocks. Note: The place is suitable for tourism and can be reached by a distinctive path right before the first houses on the Vaz quarter of Raven village.
